Answers Before You Arrive

Practical answers about booking, check-in, meals, and what to bring for a calm countryside stay at Villa Hosszu.

Questions About Your Stay, Answered

Practical details about booking, meals, activities, and what to expect when you arrive at the villa.

Most guests stay for two or three nights, which gives enough time to settle in, explore the nearby trails, and enjoy a relaxed dinner on the terrace. If you are passing through and only have one night, that works too — just let us know when you book so we can prepare a shorter itinerary.

How long should I plan to stay?

Breakfast is included with every stay and served between 8 and 10 in the morning. For lunch and dinner, we share a list of nearby farms and family-run kitchens that deliver to the villa, or we can arrange a private chef for your group. Tell us about dietary preferences when you confirm your dates.

Are meals included in the booking?

Yes. We can arrange guided walks through the forest, a visit to a local orchard, or a pottery session with a village artisan. These experiences are optional and booked separately, so you can decide on the day based on your mood and the weather.

Can you help organise activities during our stay?

Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out is by 11 am. If you need an early arrival or a late departure, write to us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you, depending on the schedule of other guests.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

We keep the villa suitable for families, couples, and small groups. Children are welcome, and we can provide a cot or extra bedding on request. The property has a few steps and uneven garden paths, so it may not be fully accessible for guests with limited mobility.

Is the villa suitable for children or older guests?

If your plans change, you can cancel free of charge up to seven days before arrival. For cancellations within seven days, we ask for a partial contribution to cover the prepared meals and staff time. Reach out through the contact page and we will walk you through the options.

What is your cancellation policy?

Clarifications and terms that help you read the booking details, cancellation rules, and stay expectations without ambiguity.

What the fine print actually means

Check-in and check-outStandard check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early arrival or late departure can be arranged the day before, subject to availability and a small coordination fee.

Cancellation windowFree cancellation applies up to 7 days before arrival. Between 7 and 2 days, a 50% charge applies. Within 48 hours, the first night is non-refundable unless we can rebook the villa.

Meals and dietary needsBreakfast is included in every stay. Lunch and dinner are prepared on request using seasonal local produce. Let us know about allergies or preferences at least 24 hours ahead.

Children and petsChildren of all ages are welcome, and cots are available on request. Pets are allowed in two of the garden cottages only; please confirm when booking so we can prepare the room.

Group bookingsFor groups above six guests, a separate agreement covers the full villa rental, meal plan, and any guided activities. This keeps the stay simple and avoids surprises on arrival.

Weather and outdoor plansNature trails and picnic spots depend on the season. If heavy rain is forecast, we offer an indoor alternative such as a cooking class or a guided village walk instead.
